The Forgotten Tales began all the way back in 2004 when myself and Kiki were just sixteen years old and in Transition Year (4th Year of Secondary School). We had just become friends from the bonding week in the year, and were getting to know each other when we discovered that we both loved to make up stories, and were both very avid 'Buffy: The Vampire Slayer' Fans. This sparked an idea between us; that we would write our own psuedo-spin off to the afforementioned TV cult series (an idea that was drawn from the leaving of Oz Osbourne (Seth Green) in Season Four). What we came up with was a 'what if' script series set after Season Three of BTVS, where Buffy was dead, and Willow and Oz left Sunnydale to try and start a new life together. A month later, we were joined by Dani who would become the third ideas generator for the group. This was the beginnings of what would become a rather camp series called Slayer: The Next Generation. We sucessfully scripted one entire season of the series and already had ideas for many more following this. Around this time, we also began to conduct character conversations for fun on MSN.

In March 2005, I became aquainted with what would become one of my biggest loves, 'The Phantom of the Opera' and having fallen in love with the movie, little newbie-phan me joined a forum that was then known as PhantomFans.net. Here, I met a girl who went under the name of 'SapphireTears' and who was a fellow phan. She then introduced me to her online friend Rachel Bird, who was just as obsessed by Phantom as I was and we instantly hit it off. From there I introduced her to Kiki and we began (with the help of our friend, Rob) a sort of mock character roleplay which featured Erik and Christine from Phantom of the Opera, Brad Phoenix from Slayer: the Next Generation and Cloud from Final Fantasy VII, with a guest appearance from James Hetfield of Metallica. Little did we know that from this we would form a group called 'Fantasy Inc' and the roleplay series of 'Slayer: The Next Generation' would be born, which myself, Kiki and Rachel and the only three players!

Our little group was to grow however! A few months later, the series was well underway and on a day in question while PhantomFans.net was under construction to become MusicalFans.net, myself and a rather inequisitive young girl called Kearyn were complaining about the loss of the site via a temporary chat box that they put up in compensation. I told her about our roleplay group, added her to MSN, and she became instantly hooked! Kearyn was to become our fourth member. It was through Kearyn that we came to be introduced to Katrina who would join STNG as the enigmatic Payton Silverwing, and bring along with her two of the creators of the renowed Magical Realms of Lore Roleplay Group (Now Mystyra.com); Jessika Watkins and Cordyana Noni. Soon after this we had our very first male member Paulish (who still remains the only guy to this very day :D). In just the space of a year and a half, Fantasy Inc had grown from a script series into a fully functioning roleplay series.

Story after story began to emerge as our characters began to develop. In 2006, STNG was in its tenth series and coming to an end. It was then that we began to draft ideas for what would be the sequel-series 'Elemental' which was set ten years after the events of STNG, in the year 2030, and dealt with the characters in a pre and post WW3 environment. This series is now in its fourth season, having been completely rewritten once, and is still going strong.

With the development of the new site (and for other humourous reasons as pointed out by Jessika of MROL), Fantasy Inc. changed our name to 'The Forgotten Tales' and have been so ever since. In March of next year we will celebrate our fourth birthday as a roleplay group and next month will mark four years since the original script was drafted- so as you can see we are getting old! XD

All you Whovians out there will be glad to know that the long promised introduction of our beloved Doctor has finally been posted at the end of Episode I "Of Ancient Books and Anatomy". This will eventually be followed up with an episode entitled "Time's Wayfarer" which will focus on revealing a little bit more about this Doctor. Just for all you watchers of the current 'Doctor Who' series, his entrance into this series will take place directly AFTER 'The Next Doctor' and will serve as a AU to the series itself in which ' Planet of the Dead', 'Water of Mars' etc will not occur. So, sorry to all your 11th Doc fans out there XD. Other than that though everything else in relation to Doctor Who from 1963 - 2008 still adheres to this plot so watch out for some carefully placed references as the season progresses!
